History of Sugarbush Farmhouse
A Story Rooted in Tradition — Still Being Gathered
Sugarbush Farmhouse was built circa 1890 and originally owned by the same family since its construction. Located on Glendale Road in Wilbraham, Massachusetts, the home sits within an area rich in local history. Once known as “Glendale” for its grassy glens and rolling landscape, and long connected to early churches, community gathering places, and generational farmland.
While much of the farmhouse’s early story is still being uncovered, what remains clear is its purpose: to serve as a place for gathering, connection, and everyday life rooted in New England tradition.
Today, Sugarbush Farmhouse has been thoughtfully recrafted to honor this legacy. From reclaimed wood beams sourced from barns and buildings across New England to carefully curated vintage accents and natural materials throughout the home, the restoration blends old and new in a way that feels authentic, grounded, and intentional.
Rather than rewriting history, Sugarbush Farmhouse seeks to preserve it, allowing the home’s story to continue unfolding through the people who gather here today.
Our Story Is Still Being Gathered
We are actively meeting with members of the original property-owning family to gather photographs, stories, and historical details that will continue to shape this space.
As this process unfolds, we look forward to sharing more of Sugarbush Farmhouse’s past, restoration journey, and connection to the Wilbraham community.
